A post conference excursion to the University of Copenhagen will be organized on Friday 25th of August 2017 at 9:00 to 16:00 hrs.
The tour will start by visiting the University’s experimental farm which is situated in Taastrup, 13 km south-west of the main campus. Here, a new facility for advanced high-throughput phenotyping of root development will be presented together with long-term field experiments focusing on nutrient management and recirculation of nutrients in urban waste products. Furthermore, the new climate station and advanced phenotyping facilities in the green house will be visited.
After lunch, we will return to Copenhagen and visit the new Copenhagen Plant Science Center and the Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences at the Frederiksberg Campus. Highlights of ongoing research will presented together with different advanced technology platforms embracing plant ionomics and bioimaging. Depending on the weather, we end the tour in the old University garden dating back to 1858.
